UND Community Quilt Kickoff set to be held on Dec. 1
No sewing experience required for community-building event

What: UND Community Quilt Project Kickoff
Who: Opening remarks from President Andy Armacost; UND community members welcome to attend
Where: Henry Family Ballroom in the Memorial Union
When: Monday, Dec. 1, at noon
Background: UND is excited to announce the Community Quilt Project, a creative way for students, faculty and staff members to come together and celebrate being members of the campus community.
Campus community members are invited to attend the Community Quilt Kickoff on Monday, Dec. 1, starting at noon in the Memorial Union, in the Henry Family Ballroom. There, more information about the quilt event will be available.
People wishing to be involved need not have sewing experience!
The quilt will consist of squares from 60 areas of cross-campus groups (including many student groups) for a total of 144 squares.
Timeline:
11 a.m.: Doors open
Enjoy hors d’oeuvres
Browse quilt samples
Engage inspiration stations
Noon: Remarks from President Armacost
1 p.m.: Community Quilt Kickoff ends
