State of the University Address, ‘Picnic with the Prez’ set for Aug. 20

Faculty and staff invited to gather for a look at year ahead, followed by food and fellowship at University House

University of North Dakota faculty and staff are invited to join President Andy Armacost and fellow University leaders at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, for the president’s annual State of the University Address.

Hosted in the Memorial Union Ballroom and streamed online, the State of the University Address will serve as a recap for the past year as well as a preview for what’s ahead during the 2026-27 academic year.

Immediately following the event, faculty, staff and UND Alumni Association & Foundation employees are invited to University House at 1 Yale Drive for “Picnic with the Prez” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — a fun and relaxing opportunity to connect with Andy and Kathy Armacost as well as friends and colleagues from across campus.
