Are You Connected?
Wellness is the process of making healthier, more spontaneous choices for a more balanced and purposeful life. It is an ongoing process for most but is important for all of us to be on our own journey to wellness. The 7 Dimensions of Wellness are meant to help balance all aspects of one’s life, from family and friends to work and leisure. The 7 Dimensions are meant to help a person find a deeper more meaningful balance within themselves.
Tips for being Dimensionally Well around UND
PHYSICAL WELLNESS
- Take new routes during your daily commute walking on campus
- Attend Culinary Corner classes
INTELLCTUAL WELLNESS
- Spark new ideas in the office or a new way of thinking
- Attend a campus/community event
- Listen to an educational podcast or read an educational book
OCCUPATIONAL WELLNESS
- Hold a walking meeting
- Attend a professional development seminar with TTaDA
SPIRITUAL WELLNESS
- Attend a spiritual service
- Participate in Zen in 10
ENVIROMENTAL WELLNESS
- Reduce, reuse, and recycle
- Ride your bike to run errands
- Volunteer in your community
SOCIAL WELLNESS
- Compliment a coworker
- Talk to a new employee or student
- Attend social event on campus
EMOTIONAL WELLNESS
- Use counselling services provided on campus or in the community
- Check in with a friend or loved one
- Engage in healthy stress-relieving strategies (read a book, get outside, journal, etc.)
