Using a Stair Stepper
  • Step up and onto the machine, begin by pressing the start button and then adjust the speed as you go
  • Locate the brake button and ensure shoes are tied before you begin!
Getting the most out of your stair stepper workout
  • Use handrails sparingly
    • Utilize handrails when you need to balance
    • There's nothing wrong with using your handlebars if you need help maintaining stability
  • Step with your whole foot
    • Avoid stepping with your toes only
    • Let the step fully extend beneath you (without bottoming out) before you switch feet
  • Practice good posture
    • Square your hips
    • Face the front of the macine
    • Engage your core (keep it tight)
    • Avoid bending at the waist
  • Slow, steady, and intentional wins the race
    • The stairs are a marathon, not a sprint!
