Miles Ardaman presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on empathy May 20

Miles Ardaman, M.D., will present “Exploring Empathy” from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, via Zoom or videoconferencing. Dr. Ardaman is a psychiatrist at Sanford Health in Thief River Falls, Minn.*

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Differentiate empathy and sympathy
  • Recognize different types of empathy
  • Identify neurobiological substrates (anatomy and chemical) of empathy
  • Recognize its importance and how to cultivate greater empathy

This grand rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via videoconference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
