Lejla Gasevic presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on schizophrenia on Jan. 6

Lejla Gasevic, M.D., will present “Schizophrenia Prevention” from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at UND Southeast Campus auditorium in Fargo. Dr. Gasevic is a second-year resident in the Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Lisa, Schock, M.D., a clinical associate professor at UND and psychiatrist at Sanford Health in Fargo, will service as Dr. Gasevic’s discussant.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe types of prevention as they apply to schizophrenia
  • Define risk factors for schizophrenia and how they relate to schizophrenia prevention
  • Evaluate history of early intervention efforts during initial phases leading to psychosis
  • Discuss recent advances in schizophrenia prevention
