Oct. 18: Cancer survivor and singer shares story

UND Student Health Services, Altru Health System  and the N.D. Department of Health are partnering to educate the Grand Forks community regarding the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine and sponsoring an educational event.

Singing Out to Save the Cervix:  A Survivor’s Story, will be presented by Christine Baze, a cervical cancer survivor who will share her fight with cancer as well as motivate the audience to go out and educate young people to get vaccinated and save lives.  The event includes a screening of the film Someone You Love, the HPV Epidemic and concludes with a panel of medical professionals available for questions. The free event will be held at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m.
