April events listed at Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre

The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre announces April events:

April 7, 14, 21, 29 – The Great Puppet Build  – Help create the centerpiece for the World Peace Pageant from 10-5 on Saturdays in April.  Also, April 8, 15, 22, 29 from 1-5 on Sundays in April until it’s done.  Ages 5 and older, all abilities can help build the 2-story puppet made of newspaper, scrap lumber, and paper mache. April 13 – Friday Night Frights, double-feature of indie horror films, curated and hosted by Janessa Jaye Champagne. Produced by Champagne Dreams Productions, 9 p.m. Cost of $10 includes both films. Concessions for sale. See website for titles: www.ggfct.com. Half of proceeds donated to the Fire Hall Theater. Where:  Fire Hall Theater – 412 North 2nd Avenue, north of Central High School.

April 20 – Friday Night Frights, double-feature: Reefer Madness and Reefer Madness the Musical, hosted by Janessa Jaye Champagne. Produced by Champagne Dreams Productions, 9 p.m. Cost of $10 includes both films. Concessions for sale. Fire Hall Theater – 412 North 2nd Avenue, north of Central High School

April 22 – Pancakes with Princesses & Pirates, from 9-12:30. Breakfast prepared by Grand Forks Air Force Base Fire Fighters.  Diners will be serenaded by singing princesses and pirates who are vocal students of Maria Williams Kennedy at Bel Canto Vocal Studio. Cost is$5 each, all ages.  Fun-raiser for Fire Hall Theater’s children’s programming, East Grand Forks VFW on DeMers Avenue.
