Sarah Heitkamp named UND Art Collections curator

Sarah Heitkamp has been named the University’s Manager and Curator of UND Art Collections.

Heitkamp, a native of Petersburg, N.D., has been with UND Art Collections since last year, assisting in exhibition curation and documenting art for Scholarly Commons. She first worked with Art Collections during her graduate program, before earning her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Visual Art from UND.

Her first exhibit, Land Escape: A Collection of Works on Paper by Jackie McElroy-Edwards, opens next week, Monday, Sept. 24, at the Empire Arts Center on DeMers Avenue in downtown Grand Forks.
