To Nov. 17: ‘Love, Loss, and What I Wore’ at Fire Hall Theatre

The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre asks, “What’s in your closet?” with their new production at the Fire Hall Theatre.  The play, Love, Loss, and What I Wore by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, based on a book by Ilene Beckerman, explores the hidden stories attached to the clothes in our closets.  The stories are funny — bra shopping — to poignant — remembering the dressing gown that a deceased parent wore.

The show runs Nov. 1-17, 7:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday.

The cast includes  Tina Wilkening, Theresa Knox, Mare Thompson, Bonnie Schonmeier, Alison Cieklinski, Amanda Kalka Braxton, Erin Hendrickson, Meg McGuire, and Sam (Sandy) Mills. Set by Todd Aleshire.  Light/sound design by Chuck Baskerville.

In an effort to include more than the nine women cast in the play, the show’s director, Kathy Coudle-King (Sr. Lecturer – Dept. of English) invited 21 women in the community who are not typically seen on stage to make cameo appearances during the 11 show run.
