Dec. 9: Grand Forks Symphony presents ‘Young Stars of the International Arena’

Regional musicians of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony and artistic director Alejandro Drago will present a holiday concert, “Young Stars of the International Arena,” at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Empire Arts Center.

The program includes:

• Beethoven Piano Concert No. 1 performed by 12-year-old Italian pianist, Giorgio Colleoni.
• Ibert Flute Concerto performed by Young Artist Concerto Competition winner, flutist and UND student, Sarah Curtiss.
• Holiday music medleys and a performance by the UND Student String Quartet.
• A holiday treats bake sale during intermission.
