Karyn Plumm named Assistant Vice Provost for Student Success

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Tom DiLorenzo is pleased to announce that Karyn Plumm has been named Assistant Vice Provost for Student Success (a consolidation of positions).

Dr. Plumm will begin her duties on Nov. 16.  She will implement, manage, and oversee undergraduate retention initiatives that emerge from the UND Strategic Plan in coordination and collaboration with units across campus.  She will also lead VPAA curricular processes including academic program review, support and collaborate with UND Senate Essential Studies committee, work with College High Impact Practices (HIPS) coordinators to ensure each undergraduate student has at least three HIPS, and supervise and mentor core academic advisors.

Dr. Plumm brings significant experience to this new role including years of teaching, research and service as a faculty member and director of Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Psychology and administrative and advising supervision experience as the previous Associate Dean for Academic Success in the College of Arts & Sciences.
