Jan. 21: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day program at Gorecki Center will be hosted by UND and City of Grand Forks

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a federal holiday observed as a national day of service. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to issues we face every day in our communities.

On Monday, Jan. 21, UND and the City of Grand Forks will host Martin Luther King, Jr. “The Dream in Action,” at the Gorecki Alumni Center. We invite you to join us and, together, make our community stronger and a better place for all. An 11 a.m. social will precede the program, which will run from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Opening and closing remarks will be presented by President Mark Kennedy and Grand Forks Mayor Michael R. Brown. Kathy Fick, Pastor of Christus Rex, will be the keynote speaker.
