President Wynne invites all to inaugural Faculty Lecture on Sept. 25

I would like to invite you to attend the inaugural lecture in this year’s University of North Dakota Faculty Lecture Series on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019. Five more lectures will occur throughout the 2019-20 academic year. These lectures, presented by fellow UND faculty members, highlight our colleagues’ academic interests and activities, and the discussions that follow the presentations typically are spirited and interesting.

The lectures provide an opportunity to learn from our fellow colleagues. I was honored to have been invited to give one of the presentations last academic year and I talked about some of my own research in my field of cardiology; it was a highly enjoyable experience.

Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this year’s series.

Here is the line-up for this academic year:

2019-20 Lecture Series

  • September 25 – Donald Warne, Professor, Family & Community Medicine
  • October 23 – Crystal Alberts, Associate Professor, English
  • November 20 – Nuri Oncel, Associate Professor, Physics & Astrophysics
  • January 22 – Rachel Navarro, Professor, Counseling Psychology
  • February 19 – Surojit Gupta, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering
  • March 25 – Rebecca Rozelle-Stone, Associate Professor, Philosophy & Religion

All lectures will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Education Room 7 and will be preceded by a 4 p.m. reception.

I hope to see you there!

Joshua Wynne, M.D., M.B.A., M.P.H.
