Facilities Management will identify physical distancing requirements and install signage in buildings

As the University prepares to welcome the University community back for the fall semester, members of Facilities Management will be working to prepare campus and make it as safe as possible for all students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.

Part of making buildings as safe as possible involves physical distancing and routing student, faculty and staff traffic. A Facilities Management representative will visit buildings on campus to identify physical distancing requirements and necessary signage. This will include standard signage for entry/exits, classrooms, elevators, sanitizing and disinfecting stations, etc.

A sample plan for O’Kelly Hall (above) shows the type of assessment that Facilities will be completing for each building/floor.

Standard communication resources, such as educational posters, video tutorials and more will be available, along with a comprehensive Healthy Hawks marketing campaign.

As a reminder, departments should check with their assigned Jaggaer approvers to determine if those resources/supplies will be provided by the Pandemic Planning & Response Team.

Individual departments do not need to make separate physical distancing and signage plans for their buildings.
