Karina Knutson receives Merit Award from professional association

Karina Knutson, associate director of wellness & health promotion, recently received the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) 2019-20 Region 5 Award of Merit.

As a long-time member of NIRSA, Karina was recognized for her many volunteer contributions to Region 5 over the past decade. They include work on numerous work and planning committees, including Nominations & Appointments Committee, NIRSA Assembly, Annual Conference Proposal Review Committee, Annual Conference Research & Assessment Committee, and the NIRSA Foundation Scholarship Committee. Karina also served as the NIRSA ND/MN State Director (2017-2019) and is currently a member of the NIRSA Health & Wellbeing Task Force.
