UND doctoral student wins Best Paper Award at ICRTEC ’23

Meera Gopinath, a doctoral student in the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, has won the Best Paper Award at the International IEEE Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics and Communication (ICRTEC 23).

Her paper titled “Multi-variate Factors Assessment of Harmful Algae Blooms (HABs)” was ranked as best paper in the IoT Robotics and Cloud Computing track. She also won a cash prize for her contribution.

The conference, held in Mysore, India from Feb 10-11, 2023, aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to focus on recent systems and techniques in the broad field of Signal Processing, Communication, Networking, Internet, VLSI, Information Security, Bioinformatics, Robotics, Embedded and IoT based applications. Under the theme “Upcoming Technologies for Smart Systems,” the conference is a platform for technologists, researchers and industry leaders across the globe to share their ideas on emerging technologies and newer solutions that can guide and lead toward a better tomorrow.
