Research presented at National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel

Last month, collaborative research results on Tissue Perfusion and Pain Among Healthy Adults: A Comparison of Three Surgical Surfaces were presented at the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

The research was conducted as part of an interdisciplinary collaboration between the UND College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines and the UND Biomedical Engineering Department. The conference committee also selected the abstract as one of four poster abstracts to be presented as an oral presentation to all attendees.
CNPD faculty Dr. Dawn Denny and Dr. Rhoda Owens served as Co-Principal Investigators (PIs) in this research study. The researchers would like to recognize CNPD consultants Dr. Darlene Hanson, Dr. Jamie Sperle, and Dr. Kevin Buettner. In addition, they would like to thank Thin Air, LLC, for supporting the dissemination of the work.
