CNPD Spotlight: Ashley Beland

Although Ashley Beland has only been at the University of North Dakota College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) for under a year, her impact as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean’s Office has already been felt throughout the college. Starting her journey at UND in December 2023, Ashley quickly became an integral part of the team, providing vital support to faculty, staff, and students.

In her role, Ashley assists faculty and other staff with their day-to-day tasks, helps with CNPD-hosted events, and takes care of all room and proctor requests. Her attention to detail and organizational skills have helped make the Dean’s Office run more efficiently, ensuring everything stays on track.

What Ashley loves most about working at UND is the sense of family she feels each day. “From Day 1, I knew I had landed at the right place,” she says.

I get such an immense sense of pride every day I walk into work.

Born and raised in Grand Forks, Ashley is deeply rooted in her community. She and her husband have two children as well as three dogs. In addition to her role at UND, Ashley ran her own boutique for seven years, which she still operates part-time online. Now, she’s also pursuing a degree in History, all while balancing family time, running, reading, and binging her favorite shows with her husband.

Ashley’s positive energy and dedication to supporting CNPD make her an essential part of the college’s success.
