CNPD Spotlight: Elizabeth Jahn

As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, Elizabeth Jahn guides the next generation of nurse practitioners at the University of North Dakota College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) into clinical practice.
As a proud two-time alum of UND, Elizabeth’s connection to the university runs deep. “I love all things UND!” she shares.
I have an unwavering passion for helping future family nurse practitioners prepare to enter into clinical practice and provide healthcare to communities near and far.
Beyond her academic work, Elizabeth is an active member of her community. She and her husband, Patrick—also a UND College of Nursing alum—reside in Thief River Falls, MN, with their three daughters, two dogs, three chickens, and a cat. Elizabeth coaches girls’ hockey and middle school girls’ tennis and serves as a BIO Girls mentor, where she helps empower young women. “Confidence is key,” she says. “My passion is to serve in any capacity that aids in young women finding their voice, recognizing their strengths, and knowing that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.”
Elizabeth’s dedication to her students, her community, and her profession make her a valuable asset to the UND CNPD.
