Luke Jones, Visiting Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, presented his research in August 2025 at the Tribal Lands and Environment Forum in Minneapolis.

Jones also presented at the 2025 National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) Global Conference, hosted by Northern Arizona University In October. He presented a workshop on educational standards for federal, state, and local government employees who administer programs affecting tribes and their members.

Jones and co-presenter James Grijalva, UND School of Law, illustrated how federal, state, and local government programs may affect tribes, described the knowledge, skills, and abilities administrators of these programs need, and presented recommendations for pedagogy in this specialized administrative subfield.
