Matthew Heberer to give Surgery Grand Rounds on Barrett’s Esophagus May 17

Matthew Heberer, MD, a PGY-IV resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present a talk entitled “Management of Barrett’s Esophagus” at Sanford Health – Broadway in Fargo, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, May 17. All are welcome to attend.

The objectives of the talk are:

  • Define Barrett’s Esophagus (BE)
  • List options, risks, and benefits for endoscopic interventions for BE
  • List indications for surgical intervention for BE
  • List surveillance intervals before and after interventions for BE
