TLAS offers test question writing workshop online on Nov. 29

The Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLAS) team at the SMHS is pleased to offer “Writing Effective Test Questions,” a virtual faculty development session, to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 12:30 p.m. (Central) via Zoom (https://und.zoom.us/j/94063247878).

This session will focus on effective question writing to ensure that your tests are assessing the subject matter you teach. Dr. Kurt Borg, assistant dean for assessment; Andrea Guthridge, instructional designer; Dr. Ken Ruit, senior associate dean for education, medical accreditation, and faculty affairs; and Dr. Richard Van Eck, associate dean for teaching and learning, will present on best practices for question-writing and effective exams.

This session will be streamed on Zoom and recorded for later viewing.

This faculty development session is hosted by the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship unit of Education Resources. Our faculty development sessions showcase topics of interest to the medical and health education community and are all free and open to anyone. Previous sessions can be streamed at any time from our website.
