TLAS December faculty development offering: Creating meaningful rubrics
SMHS Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLAS) team invites you to join the free, virtual December faculty development session: “Creating Meaningful Rubrics.” Led by Dr. Adrienne Salentiny, this event will be held on Dec. 13 at 12:30 p.m. (CST) on Zoom. This session will be recorded for later viewing.
Rubrics provide a single, powerful assessment tool that helps you: communicate assignment expectations (and reduce student questions), streamline the feedback process, improve consistency of grading, and increase the quality of student work. This session will provide an overview and outline of the basics for building your own rubric.
This faculty development event is hosted by the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLAS) unit of Education Resources. Our faculty development sessions showcase topics of interest to the medical and health education community and are all free and open to anyone. Previous sessions can be streamed at any time from our website.
If you have questions, would like more information, or would like to suggest a future meeting topic, please contact Adrienne Salentiny (adrienne.salentiny@UND.edu).
