Participation in Student Solar Spectrograph Competition

Mr. John Nordlie and Dr. Ron Fevig are mentoring a team of UND undergraduate students that are designing and building a spectrograph as part of the National Student Solar Spectrograph Competition. Six UND students will design and construct a solar spectrograph that will be used for remote sensing studies. This team will travel to Bozeman, Montana, in May, 2012, to compete with other students from universities around the nation. UND received a $2,000 grant from the Montana Space Grant Consortium to support this effort.
