UND Citation in the NASA GCPEX Field Campaign

The UND Citation aircraft is currently participating in the NASA-sponsored GCPEX field campaign. The aircraft is based at the Muskoka, Ontario airport (CYQA) (http://www.metcam.navcanada.ca/hb/player.jsp?lang=e&site=CYQA)  for the period 16 January through 1 March. Participating crew members include Wayne Schindler (PIC), Jonathan Sepulveda (SIC), Roger Tilbury (reserve pilot/ground support), and graduate student Andrea Neumann (Instrument Operator/Data Technician). Mike Poellot, Tony Grainger, and Dave Delene are rotating through in the capacity of Flight Scientist. The Citation platform is being used to collect direct observations of clouds and snow as other observations are made remotely from the NASA DC-8 flying above cloud and from instruments on the ground.
