NASA EPSCoR CAN FY2014 Announcement – RFP

The North Dakota NASA Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) is soliciting research proposals from faculty at the University of North Dakota (UND) and North Dakota State University (NDSU) to conduct NASA relevant research in one or more RFAs that are designed to promote and expand particular NASA research sub disciplines in North Dakota.  One proposal can be submitted from North Dakota for the NASA EPSCoR Cooperative Agreement Notice (CAN) this year.

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a preliminary proposal (3 to 4 pages) to Dr. Santhosh Seelan via e-mail (seelan@space.edu) before COB February 9, 2014, outlining the central idea, rough budget, and why NASA should be interested in their proposal. The ND NASA EPSCoR technical advisory committee will then select one proposal for final submission. Once the preliminary proposal is selected by ND NASA EPSCoR, the PI will be asked to submit a NOI before February 24th and a full proposal by March 24, 2014.

Successful proposals are expected to establish research activities that will make significant contributions to the strategic research and technology development priorities of one or more of NASA research areas of interest outlined in the RFP, and contribute to the overall research infrastructure, science and technology capabilities, higher education, and economic development in North Dakota.
