Dr. Whalen Announces Retirement Plans

Dr. David Whalen, Associate Professor in the Department of Space Studies, has announced his retirement plans. He plans to move to California at the end of this semester, but has agreed to teach a few courses next year before fully retiring at the end of spring 2016. Dr. Whalen, whose specialty is in satellite communications engineering and business, joined the department in fall 2007. He served as the Chair of the department for three years before moving on to focus on his teaching and writing interests. A man with vast experience and knowledge, he taught a wide range of courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He will be missed!
