Beyond prime contracts, subcontracting is an excellent entry point for smaller businesses, allowing them to gain valuable experience with USACE requirements under a prime contractor. Engagement with local USACE Small Business Professionals and participation in outreach events can also provide a competitive edge by helping the firm understand specific district missions and market their capabilities effectively.
