Professor Ariana Meyers recently presented at the 2025 Parenting Investigator/ Guardian ad Litem Training
Her presentation, “Parenting Plans & Legal Substances: Balancing Parental Rights and the Best Interests of the Child,” discussed crafting effective parenting plans, balancing parental rights, and the best interests of the child. The presentation provided practical strategies for drafting comprehensive parenting plans that address the use of marijuana. The presentation explored key legal considerations, judicial trends, and best practices to ensure parenting agreements protect children’s well-being, while respecting parental autonomy.
The 2025 Parenting Investigator/ Guardian ad Litem training was sponsored by the North Dakota Supreme Court with online sessions held in May and June. Attendees must have completed the Initial Parenting Investigation Orientation training and be currently rostered in order to qualify.
