3L Naomi Bromke to Speak at North Dakota Right to Life 2026 Youth Summit
Bromke will draw on her recent North Dakota Law Review article examining unborn personhood under North Dakota law
Third-year law student Naomi Bromke will speak at the North Dakota Right to Life 2026 Youth Summit on September 26 in Bismarck, where she will discuss issues surrounding unborn personhood and North Dakota law.
Bromke’s presentation will draw, in part, on her recently published article in the North Dakota Law Review, “Personhood in Practice and Silence in Theory: How North Dakota Law and Wrigley I and II Bypass Unborn Personhood.”
In the article, Bromke examines how North Dakota law addresses the legal status of unborn persons and analyzes the North Dakota Supreme Court’s decisions in Wrigley I and Wrigley II. Her presentation will provide an opportunity to discuss the legal questions explored in her research and the relationship between personhood and North Dakota’s existing legal framework.
Bromke is currently serving as a legal intern for North Dakota Solicitor General Phil Axt. Her participation in the September 26 event is part of her broader academic and professional engagement with questions of state constitutional and statutory law.
The North Dakota Right to Life 2026 Youth Summit is scheduled for September 26 at the Heritage Center in Bismarck. The one-day conference is presented by Lutherans For Life of North Dakota and North Dakota Right to Life.
