  • Principal Investigator Eligibility for Externally Sponsored Awards – Comments due April 2
In compliance with 2 CFR 200 and the Federal Acquisition Regulation, UND must ensure PIs listed on applications for externally sponsored projects, and those conducting sponsored project work, have the requisite training, skill, commitment, and resources, as well as the appropriate relationship to UND. This policy is intended to support compliance with federal regulations surrounding sponsored funding. New Policies: Approved for Implementation

The president has approved these documents after completing the development process. The responsible office and policy owners will now implement them.

  • Preventing & Responding to Hazing – previously an interim policy
UND is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive community where all individuals are treated with dignity and care. Hazing in any form is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. The prohibition against hazing applies regardless of an individual’s willingness to participate. The University carefully reviews and assesses all reports of hazing. Retaliation against individuals who report hazing or who participate in related investigations is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. All community members are encouraged to cooperate fully in any investigation. Responsibility for violations may rest with individuals, groups, or their leadership, particularly if they failed to take reasonable steps to prevent or discourage hazing. NCAA student-athletes must also comply with policies set forth by the NCAA.

Revised Policies: Updates and Changes

We have revised several existing policies, making updates that range from editorial adjustments to more substantial changes. Editorial revisions aim to clarify language, streamline policy flow, and update essential information, such as contact details and hyperlinks.

Some revisions are more substantive and affect what is allowed, prohibited, or required to do. These adjustments ensure policies remain aligned with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Additionally, policies can undergo conforming updates to align them with external regulations and industry standards. This helps ensure our policies comply with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.
