Studio One features a segment on air traffic control stress and fashion designer

“Air traffic control doesn’t have to be stressful. You have to do what works for you. This job is not for everyone,” says Terra Jorgenson retired pilot, air traffic controller and now university professor. “Knowing people’s lives are in your hands [is one of the biggest reasons for stress],” explains Jorgenson. To help deal with job pressure, aviation employees have access to therapists who help them work through their problems. Most facilities also have a “quiet room” for reading or meditation. Find out more about this fast-paced career and how Jorgenson prepares students to meet work-day challenges.

Also, learn about the life of a high-end fashion designer. Caroline Hyden, fashion designer, says she never dreamt she would be designing dresses for elite shows like “Miss International.” Hyden will bring some of her original works onto the show and explain the design process. Models will also be in the studio to showcase her work.

Hyden says designing is something she is constantly thinking about because everything around her is an inspiration. Tune in this week to see some of the latest styles from this award-winning designer.
