Peterson joins Center for Rural Health

Mandi-Leigh Peterson has joined the Center for Rural Health at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Peterson, a research specialist, will focus on rural health workforce by developing a database to organize statewide information, and estimating projections for future health care workforce needs.

Peterson has research interests in North Dakota, including health care, rural policy issues, and demography.

Prior to joining the CRH, Peterson did research for an insurance company. A native of McCanna, N.D., she holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in sociology from UND.
