Faculty submissions sought for the online “Journal of Civic Voices”
The Community Connect Project, developed by the Center for Community Engagement at UND, is happy to announce a call for submissions for the online “Journal of Civic Voices.” The online version is designed for peer-reviewed academic articles and serves as an addition to a print version of the journal that is published once a year, available at www.communityconnect@und.edu.
Full articles are published online after they are accepted following a peer-review process. Abstracts will be published in a print version of the journal that is released at the annual Community Connect forum.
The following topics are particularly invited: a) community and community-university issues; b) reports on community projects and results; and c) community-based research projects. Recommended length of the article is up to 12,000 words in American Psychological Association (APA) style. Submissions are accepted at any time.
Review criteria include: relevance to the North Dakota region and its communities; originality of perspective or analysis; appropriate support for positions or conclusions; inclusiveness of language; and accessibility of writing.
For questions and submissions, please e-mail Gregory Gagnon, editor and professor at Indian Studies (UND), at gregory_gagnon@und.edu.
