“Geographies of Immobility” is the topic of Sept. 16 Geography Forum

Stanley Brunn, professor of geography at the University of Kentucky, will present “Geographies of Immobility” at noon Friday, Sept. 16, in Education 113.

Dr. Brunn says: “Most people do not move. Why don’t we study them? What we would we learn from them if we did? How do we define the concept? I will present some findings from studies done in rural Appalachia. Are the findings applicable to the Plains? And is immobility associated with recession economies? What kinds of geographies and geometries might exist?” Please join us, all are welcome.
