2011 Northern Lights Psychology Conference is Oct. 15

The 2011 Northern Lights Psychology Conference is Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Memorial Union.  Papers and posters will be presented throughout the day by faculty and students from the region beginning at 9 a.m. The public is welcome. The schedule follows.

9 a.m., panel discussion.

10:30-noon, Lecture Bowl, “Psychology can and does make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

3:30 p.m., keynote address by Patricia Greenfield, distinguished professor from UCLA.  It will synthesize her research in Mexico and among Latino immigrants and be applied to Native Americans and society as a whole. In 2010 She received the Urie Bronfenbrenner Award for Lifetime Contribution to Developmental Psychology in the Service of Science and Society and is author of Children, Adolescents, and the Internet: A New Field of Inquiry in Developmental Psychology.
