Geography forums set for Oct. 18, 21

The Department of Geography invites you to its October 2011 Forums for Contemporary Geographic Issues.

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, Kamlesh Lulla, Chief Scientist for Earth Observations and Director of the University Outreach, Collaborations, and Partnerships Office, NASA Johnson Space Center, will present “Emerging Trends in Geospatial Technologies: Are Geographers Ready?”  The forum starts at 12:30 p.m. in 138 Abbott Hall.

On Friday Oct. 21, Thomas Mote, Professor and Chair, Department of Geography, University of Georgia, 2011 UND Geography Distinguished Alumnus, will present “Evidence of Recent Climate Change from the Greenland Ice Sheet.” The forum starts at noon in 101 Abbott Hall.
