Remembering Lu Dudgeon

Lu Ann Mahrer –Dudgeon was born Oct. 15, 1956, in Park River, N.D., to Lorenz and Verna (Martinson) Mahrer. She grew up in Park lu-dudgeon River and graduated from Park River high school. She graduated from UND in 1979 majoring in Home Economics. She married Mark Dudgeon in East Grand Forks on Oct. 27, 1980.

She worked as a manager of Claire’s Boutique in Grand Forks and at the UND Copy Shop, retiring 1994 due to ill health. She spent time at the cabin at White Earth Lake, moving to Maple Lake in 2007. They moved to Petersburg, N.D., in 2013.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mark of Petersburg; sons Ross (Chelsey) Dudgeon of East Grand Forks and Luke Dudgeon of Grand Forks; stepsons Paul (Shelly) Dudgeon of Stillwater, Minn., David (Jacque) Dudgeon of Glyndon, Minn.; five grandchildren; siblings, Nancy (Orv) Espelien of Albuquerque; David (Marybeth) Mahrer of Lexington, S.C., Alan (Nancy) Mahrer, of Camdenton, Mo., and Mike (Ginny) Mahrer of Rochester, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
