Staff Senate is pleased to announce that August’s U-Shine Award recipient is Deb Wilson, Program Coordinator, CNPD – RAIN Program.  She was nominated by Barb Anderson.

The nomination stated:

Deb has the unique ability to make her students (nursing students) and staff feel “special.” She is always providing snacks and drinks that she purchases with her own money to have available while students study and for her staff as well. Deb will go out of her way to assist students and is available for them whenever they need her. She has provided financial assistance (from her personal account) to a student who had a family emergency. She deserves the U-Shine award because she has been doing this for over 25 years as Director of the Recruitment/Retention of American Indians into Nursing (RAIN) Program at the College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines (CNPD)!

The U-Shine Award is presented monthly to a UND staff member who goes out of his or her way to make UND a better place. All U-Shine Award winners receive a certificate and a $50 bonus, which is added to their next paycheck. For more information on the U-Shine Award, or to nominate a colleague,  click here.
