Remembering Gary Dubuque
Gary Dubuque, formerly with EERC and the College of Engineering & Mines, rural Grand Forks, passed away at home Friday July 23, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was 74.
The son of Raymond and Alvina (Keyes) Dubuque, Gary graduated from St. James High School, Grand Forks and North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.
He worked at the University of North Dakota as a machinist/welder at EERC and the College of Engineering & Mines for over 40 years. He also retired from the North Dakota National Guard after 21 years.
Gary is survived by, wife Patty Berg Dubuque; daughter, Kristy (Greg) Reimers; son, Jerod Dubuque; special friend Becky Devlin; Grandchildren, Addie Hall, MacKenzie (Tylor) Hall, and Payge Dubuque; Great Grandchildren, Blake, AvaLynn, and Jaxson; Sisters, Jean (Larry) Haynes, Jan (Larry) Wild, Don (Michelle) Dubuque along with many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dave Arvidson for all his years of help and friendship. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday July 31, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Visitation will be at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks on July 30 from 5-7 p.m., followed by a prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour before Saturday Mass service. Interment will be in Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Dakota Cancer Society or Circle of Friends Humane Society.
