Remembering Linda Maszk

Linda Maszk

Linda Marie Maszk, retired staff member in mechanical engineering and the Memorial Union, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, at her home in Grand Forks. She was 73.

Linda Maszk was born Oct. 12, 1948 in Crookston, Minn., to the late John King and Eileen “Ford” King. On Nov. 18, 1967, she was united in marriage to Ronald D. Maszk, Sr.

Linda made her career at the University of North Dakota and retired after 35 years in the Memorial Union and then mechanical engineering.

Linda and Ron were able to make their dream come true and they became snowbirds in Florida. Linda enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and being with her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her siblings; Mary Glanner (Mike), Tommy King (Janice), Alice Whitehead, Carol Bjelde (Dean), and Patty Holweger (Tom); brother-in-law Mark Maszk (Joanie), and sister-in-law Linda King; children Ronald Maszk, Jr. (Cindy), Linda Sundquist, Laurie Sansburn, David Maszk (Dianna), and Chris Maszk (Kim); grandchildren Tara, Eric, Niki, Ruby, Tawny, Blakeley, Ron III, Sami, Jace, Jack, Nicholas, and Tyler; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brothers Edward, Robert, Donald, Duane, her sister Judy; brother-in-law Joe Kasprick; sisters-in-law Arlene King and Sharon King.

A celebration of life will be held for Linda in the spring of 2022
