Social Work faculty co-author chapter in ‘Social Workers’ Desk Reference’

Social Work faculty Isaac Karikari, Carenlee Barkdull and Bret Weber, along with UND social work alumnus Reggie Tarr, site supervisor for resettlement services with Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, have co-authored a chapter in the Social Workers’ Desk Reference, fourth ed.  The title of the chapter is “Effective Practice with Refugees Using a Social Work Lens.”

The Social Workers’ Desk Reference, Fourth Edition, was written for social work practitioners, both seasoned and new, in addition to students. It provides current, evidence-supported information, written by over 200 experts. This all-new edition has 163 focused, practical chapters on assessment, diverse and vulnerable groups, ethics, interventions, and evaluation along with specialty sections on military populations, school social work, case management, community practice, mental/behavioral health, forensic social work, and so much more.
