Farewell reception for Beth Hellwig is Monday, Jan. 9

The UND campus community is invited to a farewell reception on Monday, Jan. 9, for Beth Hellwig, interim vice president for student affairs.

The reception will be in the Small Ballroom of the Memorial Union from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Hellwig came to UND in October 2021 to lead the University’s Division of Student Affairs. Following a national search, in September 2022, President Andy Armacost named Art Malloy the next permanent vice president.

Malloy will take over the role on Jan. 9.

Prior to UND, Hellwig had most recently served as interim vice president of student affairs & enrollment management at San Francisco State University. Throughout her 45-plus-year career in higher education, she has held a number of positions related to student affairs at other universities, including the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and Gonzaga University.
