Registering AEDs located on the UND campus via PulsePoint

When a cardiac emergency strikes, an automated external defibrillator (AED) can help save a life. But saving a life could mean knowing where AEDs are located.

Although UND provides a map of AEDs located on campus, what should you do if a cardiac emergency occurs off campus? PulsePoint AED is an app utilized by the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services that allows you to report and update AED locations so that emergency responders, including nearby citizens, can find them quickly if a cardiac emergency occurs.

Here’s how it works:

1. Locate an AED.
2. Register the AED using the PulsePoint AED app or at aed.new.
3. Add a photo of the AED in the context of its surroundings.
