Remembering Dr. Abdallah Abou Zahr
It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Dr. Abdallah Abou Zahr, clinical assistant professor of medicine and associate program director for UND’s Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Abou Zahr joined the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, in 2017, as a hematologist/oncologist. His appointment at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences started in 2018. As associate program director for the Fargo-based Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship, Dr. Abou Zahr helped develop the curriculum and recruited applicants for the three-year physician training program.
Dr. Abou Zahr’s patients consistently spoke of his brilliance, compassion and dedication to saving lives. His colleagues described him as a gentle, kind and amazing physician.
