Air Force ROTC to host 24-hour vigil remembering Lt. Col. Loren H. Torkelson

Air Force ROTC is hosting a 24-hour vigil run in remembrance of Lt. Col. Loren H. Torkelson. Please join us for the opening ceremony on Wednesday, April 29, at 11:45 a.m. and/or the closing ceremony on April 30 at noon. Both events are located in front of the UND Armory.
Torkelson was a UND AFROTC graduate and F-4C fighter pilot who was shot down over Vietnam on April 29, 1966. He became a prisoner of war and was released after 2,137 days in captivity during Operation Homecoming on March 4, 1973. He subsequently attended the University of North Dakota School of Law and served as a Staff Judge Advocate.
