Week of June 29 update: CFPAC parking lot
The Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center parking lot is closed for a mill and overlay project expected to last through July.
UND Facilities Management has shared the following updates (for the week of June 29) since the initial notification was shared with the campus community, including a new image indicating available entries and parking areas:
Parking stalls in the northwest corner of the lot (south of Gorecki) will remain open. The only entry point available for this area is at the northwest corner, though the west entry will open as soon as pavement is completed there.
Parking stalls at the southeast corner, near the Hughes Fine Arts Center, will also remain open, but the center entry on the south side of the lot has been removed. The west entry on the south side is open, and the east entry on the south side is nearly complete. Watch for barricades/cones at these entries, as they might change throughout the week to help with construction-related traffic.
Though these temporary parking areas remain available, specific lane availability will be changed as mill and overlay work progresses. The image below shows these areas, as described above.
Other updates include:
- Work on the lot’s medians continues. Rocks are being delivered and installed.
- Minor curb and catch basin replacements are complete.
The image below shows the altered access on the south side of the parking lot. The entry labeled “B” is removed, and access will be available at either “A” or “C,” as described previously.
