About the Author

Sukhvarsh Jerath, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, is Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Jerath has over 40 years of experience teaching and researching structural design and analysis, structural mechanics, and properties of civil engineering materials. He is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the ASME and ASEE.
