UND has updated safety levels for start of academic year

UND continues to prepare for Aug. 3, the return of faculty, staff and students to campus. The University, as well as federal and state government, continue to monitor the situation and adapt for the safety of our community.

This is notification that UND has updated its safety levels to reflect current plans for the start of the 2020-21 academic year. The updated safety levels can be found on the UND Coronavirus Blog.

As of July 6, UND is in the process of transitioning between Safety Level 1 (Red) to Safety Level 2 (Yellow) as we prepare to be at Yellow by August 3. Continue to monitor the blog for updates, as the most current information always will be available there.

In addition to the updated Safety Levels, information on UND’s COVID-19 event policy is now available on the Coronavirus blog.

In developing the University’s policies, UND pays special attention to the North Dakota Smart Restart guidelines, among other sources of expert advice. Because of the density and mobility of our community, UND’s guidelines may be stricter than those of the state or federal governments.  A college campus is a dynamic environment, and the University’s safety guidelines are being developed as carefully as possible with that in mind.

The pandemic is a fluid situation, and we will continue to monitor public-health guidelines and update as needed.  Monitor the Coronavirus Blog for the most up-to-date information.

Thank you for helping to keep our UND community well.
